Representation of interests, visibility & support for Saxony’s cultural and creative industries.
The Landesverband der Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft Sachsen e.V. was founded on July 23, 2015 by cultural and creative professionals from Saxony to act as a common voice for the Saxon creative scene and to advocate in particular for the needs of solo self-employed and micro-enterprises in the cultural and creative industries.
Saxon creatives work together to improve the framework conditions for their work and contribute their industry expertise to a wide range of projects at local, regional and federal level.
Networks
The state association of the cultural and creative industries is well networked throughout Saxony, Germany and Europe. It exchanges information with other projects and institutions about needs as well as support and funding opportunities.
IG Landeskulturverbände Sachsen
The Landesverband der Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft Sachsen e.V. is part of the Interessengemeinschaft (IG) Landesverbände Sachsen. The IG was founded in 2002 in order to discuss cross-association issues. As a loose association, it represents the fundamental interests of the Saxon art and culture scene to the outside world. The IG represents 1600 individual artists and 2500 member establishments, associations and institutions.
Kreative Deutschland
The Saxony Association of the Cultural and Creative Industries is a founding member of the Federal Association of the Cultural and Creative Industries in Germany – Kreative Deutschland. The association is a cross-industry mouthpiece for all actors, strengthens local networks and communicates their needs to politicians.
European Creative Business Network (ECBN)
The Landesverband der Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft Sachsen e.V. is a member of the European Creative Business Network (ECBN) and thus also actively shapes the framework conditions for the sector at European level. The European Creative Business Network (ECBN) is a non-profit foundation established in 2011 to promote the interests of the cultural creative industries in Europe.
Bundesverband Popularmusik e.V.
Since 2022, the Saxony State Association of Cultural and Creative Industries e.V. has been a member of the Federal Association of Popular Music e.V. The KREATIVES SACHSEN project cooperated as a regional partner for Saxony and Thuringia in the Pop Scholarships 2022 and 2023. The Federal Popular Music Association, founded in Hamburg in 2021, acts as a lobby group for local, regional and national pop promoters.
